Animated Music Video: "Heil Do You Do?"--Original song

Adolph Hitler is still alive, 120 years old, and very sleepy at his birthday party. As he drifts off into slumber he has a cartoon-animated dream reminiscent of "Pink Elephants on Parade" from "Dumbo", but with decidedly Nazi themes. That's what I was asked to create. I thought, "Well this HAS to have a catchy song for s dream like THAT!" Those of you who are familiar with the "Nick & Dix" series on this channel will enjoy Nick Baker's mad skills as a musician and orchestrator for the instrumental portion of the song. I handle the vocals. This scene is a work in progress, so nothing is final nor in any particular order. Along with some of the animation completed so far, I've also tossed in several of the prelim concxept sketches, some of which I've crudely animated as well, like the "Happy Hitler". I do all of this in Adobe Photoshop 7 and ImageReady 7.

Because of the nature of the photo warping program, the "liquidity" of the imagery gives a consistent stylistic look to the scene on all layers. This was a follow-up to the "Roswelloids" experiment, where the figures were basically simple alien sillouhuettes. This time I wanted to work with a more detailed human character.

This is a documentary piece on the closing night party for the Alwun House Foundation's annual "EXOTIC" (Read: "Erotic") art exhibit. It's not as wild an event as the Opening Reception, but a lot of the same people show up, and it's a nice way to spend more time with the art and some of the artists who make it. Stage performers provide sensual entertainment throughout the night. This is a huge group exhibit that happens in February of every year, and one of the largest art shows of its kind in the United States.

It was just a stocking stuffer to go with the nicer gifts..you know: one of those $20.00 jobbies in a blister card with the "American Idol" logo on it. It also functions as a webcam except there's no way to "tripod" it to anything. This is where Play-Doh comes in handy! I didn't feel like getting out of my chair so I decided to make a short video about a guy at his computer. It's always a challenge to make something like that look exciting and dynamic. The result is this video, which is sort of a meditation on how I feel about being online sometimes (Especially with some of the mentally unstable and emotionally needy people who always seem to find ME! LOL), Invitations to sites I don't really need, Viagra ads, and suicidal chatters. You gotta admit, it DOES feel this way sometimes, doesn't it? Captured in Glorious Black-n-White, it evokes the horror-noir films of the late 1950's and Early 1960's which produced some fabulously stark B-and-W films like "Psycho", "Touch Of Evil", "Lady In A Cage","Seconds","To Kill A Mockingbird", and on and on. I think I got my mom's twenty bucks worth! Really, seriously, I had a lot of fun playing with this little cam.
